Established in 2014, Open Door Policy began with entrepreneur Sean Mosher. Sean grew his business from the desire to keep his neighbors’ garage doors safe and stylish. The company has since grown to a small team of dedicated technicians who install, maintain, and repair families’ garage doors across the Chapel Hill and Carrboro area. From single car doors to custom builds, Open Door Policy is the best in town! Open Door Policy is fully licensed and insured. All of our technicians undergo full apprenticeships where they are trained to provide industry leading garage door repair, installation, and maintenance. We take pride in the quality of our work and strive to maintain superior customer service throughout each job.
We schedule technician arrival times within a 2-3 hour window. Clients receive appointment confirmation messages the day before and ETA messages when the technician is on their way the day of service.
We ask there is a minimum of 4ft of clear space around the garage door and machine opener to maintain a safe work environment for our technicians.
All of our vehicles and technicians are dressed in Open Door Policy’s logo. The technician will make an assessment of the problem and create a proposal. An estimate will be provided, and upon client approval the technician will begin installation/maintenance/repair services. Every service comes with a safety inspection of the entire system. At the completion of service, the technician will review with the client what was performed and go over recommended maintenance measures.

Learn the trade through hands-on experience of installing and repairing residential or commercial garage doors. You will perform preventative maintenance on garage doors to ensure they are functioning properly, and learn to determine what needs to be done to repair or replace an existing garage door system.
*No experience required as we will provide both sales and technical training*
